Method
 

Prepare the Watermelon
  1. Select a ripe watermelon, cut it in half, scoop out the flesh, and remove any seeds. Aim for about 4 cups of watermelon chunks.
Blend and Sweeten
  1. Place the watermelon chunks into a blender. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1-3 tablespoons of sugar to taste. Blend until smooth.
Chill the Mixture
  1. Pour the blended mixture into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Freeze for Perfection
  1. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to instructions for 20-25 minutes, or freeze in a shallow dish for about 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
Serve and Savor
  1. Scoop the sorbet into bowls or cones and garnish with fresh mint leaves or lime zest.
