Method
Prepare Ingredients
- Start by selecting your favorite fruits, such as strawberries, apricots, or apples. Wash and chop the fruits before blending them smoothly.
Make Puree
- Using a blender or food processor, blend the chopped fruits until they reach a silky-smooth consistency. You may want to add a little honey or lemon juice for sweetness and brightness.
Spread Puree
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the fruit puree onto the sheet, spreading it evenly to about 1/8 inch thick.
Dry the Leather
- Preheat your oven to 140°F (60°C). Place your baking sheet in the oven and let it dry for approximately six to eight hours.
Cut and Store
- Once dried, remove the sheet from the oven and let it cool completely. Cut into strips using kitchen scissors and wrap each strip in parchment paper for storage.
Enjoy
- Store your fruit leather in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. Snack on these delightful chewy treats whenever you crave something sweet and healthy!
