Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage optional for color
Dressing
  • 1 cup mayonnaise can substitute with Greek yogurt for a lighter version
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Vegetables
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage, shredded carrots, and shredded purple cabbage if using.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Combine
  1. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until all the vegetables are well coated.
Chill and Serve
  1. Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes
