Batter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, gently toss the blackberries with sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and remaining sugar.
  4. Gradually stir in milk and melted butter until smooth.
Assembly
  1. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish.
  2. Spoon the marinated blackberries over the batter.
  3. Pour the remaining batter on top of the berries.
