Ingredients

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Toppings
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast shredded or diced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped

Method

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 10 minutes.
Assemble the Pizza
  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone inside to heat.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet. Spread barbecue sauce evenly over the dough.
  4. Top with shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, and red onion.
  5. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Finish and Serve
  1. Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
