Ingredients
  

Beans
  • 2 cans navy beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Bacon
  • 6 slices bacon chopped
Vegetables
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft.
Combine and Bake
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the navy beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, sautéed onion and garlic, and half of the cooked bacon.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with the remaining bacon.
  3. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes until bubbly and slightly caramelized.
