  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 6 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil and grated Parmesan for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic until the meat is cooked and onions are translucent (about 5 minutes).
  2. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in broken lasagna noodles and cream cheese until fully blended.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.
