Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In another bowl, combine honey BBQ sauce with extra spices if desired.
  4. Grease the crockpot lightly; layer half of the meatballs followed by half of the sauce. Repeat the layers.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Stir gently to coat meatballs in sauce before serving.
