- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 nori sheets
- 1 medium cucumber, cut into thin sticks
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cup imitation crab meat, shredded
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- Soy sauce and wasabi for serving
Instructions
- Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions until tender.
- In a bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Gently fold this mixture into the warm rice.
- Prepare fillings: slice cucumber into sticks and avocado into strips; shred imitation crab meat.
- On a bamboo mat, place a nori sheet shiny side down. Wet hands and spread about 1 cup seasoned rice over nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Lay cucumber, avocado, and crab horizontally across the center of the rice.
- Roll tightly using the bamboo mat while sealing the edge of the nori with moisture from your fingers.
