  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare your apples by peeling, coring, and slicing them evenly.
  2. In the Crock Pot, combine the sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, lemon juice, and water. Stir to mix well.
  3. Cover the Crock Pot and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until apples are soft.
  4. Blend the mixture until smooth using an immersion blender or in batches.
  5. If a thicker consistency is desired, cook uncovered on high for an additional hour while stirring occasionally.
  6. Allow to cool before transferring to jars for storage.
