  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 24 tbsp milk (to desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter until smooth. Gradually add sugar and mix until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in vanilla extract.
  5. Fold in sour cream until well blended.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish.
  7. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling; sprinkle over the batter. Dollop remaining batter on top and swirl gently.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely before adding frosting.
  9. For frosting, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth; add milk gradually to achieve desired consistency.
