  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked noodles, beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, milk, half of the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  6. Pour into a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheese and optional parsley.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
