- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup whole milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked noodles, beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, milk, half of the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Pour into a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheese and optional parsley.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
