- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut chicken breasts into strips about one inch wide.
- In a bowl, mix buttermilk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Soak chicken strips in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Dredge each soaked chicken piece in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Place the breaded tenders on the baking sheet and spray lightly with cooking oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Toss baked tenders in buffalo sauce and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
