- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold)
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Stir in rolled oats until evenly mixed.
- Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish for the crust.
- In another bowl, toss blackberries with lemon juice and brown sugar, then spread over the crust.
- Sprinkle remaining crumble mixture on top of the blackberry layer.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly around edges.
- Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
