Ingredients

  • Beef strips (sirloin or flank)
  • Bell peppers (red, yellow, green)
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Low-sodium soy sauce
  • Chili flakes
  • Cornflour
  • Vegetable oil (canola or peanut)
  • Onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips for tenderness. Chop bell peppers and onions into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine beef strips with cornflour and a pinch of salt until well-coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Fry beef strips in batches until golden brown and crispy; drain on paper towels.
  5. In the same skillet, stir-fry onions and bell peppers until softened and caramelized.
  6. Return crispy beef to the skillet, add soy sauce and chili flakes, toss well over high heat, then serve hot.
