  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop Napa cabbage, julienne carrots, dice onions, and mince garlic and ginger.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and ginger; cook until fragrant (3-4 minutes).
  3. Incorporate Napa cabbage and carrots. Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and black pepper; adjust seasoning to taste.
  5. Reduce heat; let soup simmer for 15-20 minutes until cabbage is tender but still bright green.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil on top before serving.
